Refresh Pages That Are Slipping

Pages lose ground over time as competitors publish newer answers. Find the ones slipping and update them.

Why this matters
Updating a page that already ranks is cheaper than writing a new one, and it often wins the lost traffic back within weeks.

✓ How to do it

  1. In GSC Performance, click the date filter, choose Compare, and compare the last 3 months to the previous 3 months.
  2. Open the Pages tab and sort by the change in clicks. The biggest drops are your refresh list.
  3. For each page, search its main keyword and see what the current top results cover that you don't.
  4. Update facts, prices, and screenshots. Add missing sections and new FAQs.
  5. Change the date on the page only when you made a real update.
  6. Use URL Inspection → Request indexing after each update.
