Record your campaign baseline
Before you change a single thing, capture where you're starting from. This snapshot is the line every future report measures against.

Why this matters
You cannot prove growth without a 'before.' If you optimize first and record later, you've thrown away the most persuasive number you'll ever have: the comparison.
โ How to do it
- In GSC Performance (last 28 days), note total clicks, impressions, and average position.
- Count how many of your tracked keywords sit in the top 10 today (Performance โ Queries, filter by position).
- In GA4, note last month's organic sessions and conversions.
- Record today's date as your baseline date.
- Log all of it in the campaign tracker (the interactive lab page) as your first monthly snapshot.
Tips & pitfalls
- Screenshot each report and save it in a dated folder โ visual proof is powerful in client reports.
