Lock your NAP and build a master sheet

NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone. Before you list your business anywhere, decide the one exact format you'll use everywhere and save it in a master sheet.

Why this matters
Every directory must show identical info. Inconsistent NAP โ€” 'Ste' on one site, 'Suite' on another, two phone numbers โ€” confuses Google and weakens the trust each citation is meant to build.

โœ“ How to do it

  1. Open a spreadsheet and lock the exact spelling and format of each field below.
  2. Decide once: www or non-www, (951) or 951-, Suite or Ste โ€” and never vary it.
  3. Paste this master data into every listing going forward.
  4. Keep the sheet handy; you'll reuse it dozens of times this phase.
Reference list
Standardize and save one master copy of:
  • Business name (exact brand form)
  • Address (one consistent format)
  • Phone (one primary local number)
  • Website URL (www or not โ€” pick one)
  • Primary + secondary categories
  • Hours of operation
  • Short + long description
  • Logo and cover photo
