Write a Plain Offer With a Plain Price

An offer says what the client gets, what it costs, and when it starts. Write it so an owner could repeat it to their spouse without looking at the page.

Why This Matters
The worst offers hide the price, pile on fake deadlines and promise a rank. An owner who feels pushed signs and then leaves, and you eat the refund. A clear offer loses a few deals and keeps the good ones.

✓ How To Do It

  1. Write down the one problem you fix. Say it in plain words, like "more of your calls come from your website". Do not name a result with a number you cannot control.
  2. List exactly what you do each month in short lines. Pages built, posts written, reports sent. If you cannot count it, do not list it.
  3. Put the price at the top of the page. Show the monthly price, any setup price and what is not covered. Taxes and card fees go on the page too.
  4. Name the tools the client pays for on their own, like a domain or a text line. Say who owns each login. The client should own their domain and their profiles from day one.
  5. Say how long the first result takes in a range, and say what it depends on. Local search often takes months. Write that down so nobody is surprised.
  6. Skip rank promises. Nobody outside Google controls rankings. Promise your work and your reports instead.
  7. Set a real start date based on your calendar. Do not say "only two spots left" unless it is true, and do not put a countdown on the page.
  8. Add how to stop. Tell them how much notice you need and what they keep. A client who can leave easily tends to stay.
  9. Read it out loud once. If any sentence needs a lawyer to explain it, cut it or split it.

Tips & Pitfalls
  • Do not discount to close a deal and then raise the price in month three. Start at a price you can keep.
  • If you have no results to show yet, say so and offer a smaller first month. Do not borrow someone else's numbers.
  • Ask one more person to read the offer cold. Fix whatever they ask about.
