Find What Ranks, Then Beat It With Real Data
You pick one question a customer asks, study the pages that already answer it, and write a page that holds more. The extra is your own numbers.

Why This Matters
The worst mistake is writing the same article as the five above you with the words shuffled. Google has no reason to show a sixth copy. A page wins when it says something the others cannot, like what your last 20 jobs actually cost and how long they took.
✓ How To Do It
- Pick one question a customer asks before they call. Make it a real one, like how much it costs or how long it takes. Do not start with a keyword. Start with the question.
- Search it on your phone in a private window. Skip the ads. Open the top five pages and paste each address into a sheet. If you already built a brief, this is the same work as Write Content Briefs From the SERP, taken one step further.
- Give each page one row. Log the headings, the numbers it states, how many photos it has and its date. Mark every number that has no source next to it. Those are weak spots you can beat.
- Add a column called Missing. Write what a buyer needed that the page never said. Price ranges, time on the job, what goes wrong, what to ask before you hire, and when not to do it at all.
- Now pull your own data. Open your last 20 jobs on this topic. Write the price, the time, the parts and the problem. Take out names and street addresses. Ten real rows beat a copied stat.
- Plan the page. It should cover everything the top five cover, plus the gaps, plus your table of real numbers. Put your best number high on the page, where a skimmer sees it.
- Write from your notes, not from their pages. Never paste a sentence and fix it. Copying other pages and swapping words is the thing the spam policy calls out.
- Say where the numbers came from in plain words, like our last 20 jobs in 2026. Then every claim can be checked, which is the next lesson, Give Every Number a Source or Cut It.

Optional Paid Shortcut
Claude can sort the headings you paste from the five pages into a list of gaps and draft an outline from them. You would not need it for five pages you can read in ten minutes. Check every fact it gives you before it goes on your page.

Tips & Pitfalls
- Longer is not better. If the top pages run 900 words and you add 2,000 words of padding, you lose.
- Never scrape a page behind a login, and never use another site's photos or charts.
- Do not make ten pages by swapping the city name. That is a doorway page, and it burns people.
