Build Internal Links
Link from your strong pages to the pages you want to rank.
Why this matters
Internal links pass authority you already have to your priority pages. You control them completely, for free.
✓ How to do it
- Find your strongest pages (most traffic or links).
- Add links inside the text from them to your priority pages.
- Use descriptive anchor text with the target keyword.
- Avoid generic 'click here' anchors.
Done whenEach priority page gets at least 3 links from strong pages, with descriptive anchors.

In our 2026 study of 76 pages, the top 3 results averaged 29 internal links against 12 for pages ranked 7 to 10. That was the biggest gap we measured on anything the site owner controls. On our city and service sites every service page links to every city it covers, and back again.
