Show Who Is Behind the Site
Google's guidance asks three questions of every page: who made it, how, and why. Answer them in plain sight.
Why this matters
Search engines and AI tools prefer sources they can trust. A named expert with real credentials and real photos beats an anonymous page, and customers trust it more too.
✓ How to do it
- Build a real About page: who owns the business, how long you've done this, licenses, certifications, and service area.
- Add a short author or expert box to guides: name, photo, role, and credentials.
- Use your own photos of your team, trucks, shop, and finished work instead of stock images.
- Show license and registration numbers where your trade has them.
- Make contact details easy to find on every page: phone, address or service area, and hours.
- Link your About page to your Google Business Profile and main social profiles.

Tips & pitfalls
- Don't invent credentials or reviews. Everything on the page should be something a customer could check.
